Board of Trustees

Chairperson  – Erin Quick

Kia ora, my name is Erin Quick and I am a full-time mum. My background is in teaching and I was fortunate to work at a school which had a consensus-based approach to governance. As chairperson of that group, I experienced the deep satisfaction that can arise when every individual is heard, robust dialogue is engaged in, and a decision is reached that is true to the values of the organisation. After having my son, I became aware of the importance of maternal mental health, for the mother, for her child and for the broader community. It seems to me that mothers have the opportunity to meaningfully create change in society through our parenting – if we are sufficiently supported. I wanted to have a role in supporting other mothers, and so joined the board of Mother’s Helpers. I am excited to take on the responsibilities of Chairperson, and I look forward to facilitating conversations with the other wonderful women who make up the Board of Trustees.

Treasurer  – Alice O’Connor

Jane Weekes  – Currently a Learning & Development Facilitator at Spectrum Care Trust, Jane has a Post Graduate Diploma in Health Science in Violence & Trauma studies.  She has facilitated groups for Mothers Helpers as a student counsellor about 6 years ago.
